MUTHOLATH NAGAR – A VISION REALIZED
Mutholath Nagar stands as a testament to the visionary efforts of Rev. Fr. Abraham Mutholath, former executive director of Kottayam Social Service Society (KSSS). Through his dedication and hard work, he laid the foundation for a series of exceptional social service institutions on this campus.
Agape Bhavan: A Gift of Thanksgiving In 2005, Fr. Abraham Mutholath established Agape Bhavan, a haven for the physically and mentally challenged. This institute, situated on the Cherpunkal-Pala road, was Fr. Mutholath’s heartfelt offering of gratitude to God on his Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee. Agape Bhavan serves as a regional center, providing training, vocational support, and rehabilitation for the differently-abled.
Good Samaritan Resource Centre: Empowering Lives Fr. Abraham Mutholath and Kottayam Social Service Society (KSSS) came together to create the Good Samaritan Resource Centre. This facility focuses on empowering persons with disabilities to lead lives of dignity within society. Additionally, it serves as a vocational training center for youth, paving the way for gainful employment opportunities.
Mutholath Auditorium: A Venue for All Occasions The state-of-the-art Mutholath Auditorium, inaugurated in 2017 by Major Archbishop Mar George Cardinal Alencherry, is a spacious and beautifully designed venue. It accommodates banquets, public meetings, conferences, and similar gatherings, with a seating capacity of 650. Wheelchair accessibility ensures inclusivity for all.
Impact Centre: Enabling Positive Transformations In celebration of his Ruby Jubilee, Fr. Abraham Mutholath generously contributed to the creation of the Impact Centre. This facility was built in response to the growing demand for accommodation during camps and events. The Impact Centre provides well-furnished, air-conditioned rooms, catering to various needs, including those of Keralites visiting from abroad for short stays.
