    Mutholath Nagar is a unique campus dedicated to the compassionate rehabilitation of individuals with physical and mental disabilities. This exceptional initiative is under the ownership and management of Kottayam Social Service Society, a commendable social service department associated with the Archeparchy of Kottayam in Kerala, India. Nestled along the serene stretch from the Ettumanoor-Pala highway to the Meenachil River, Mutholath Nagar encompasses four pivotal institutions, each serving a distinct purpose.

Agape Bhavan: A Place of Empowerment

    At Agape Bhavan, we strive to uplift and empower individuals with physical and mental challenges. This institution offers comprehensive training and income generation programs for the differently-abled. Moreover, it serves as a meeting point for various self-help groups, fostering a supportive community for all.

Good Samaritan Centre: Nurturing Potential

    The Good Samaritan Centre plays a pivotal role in providing specialized training for the visually and hearing impaired. Additionally, it serves as a state-of-the-art training hub for Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) staff. Not only that, but it also functions as a career training center, nurturing the talents and skills of the youth.

Mutholath Auditorium: A Venue for Positive Impact

    Our air-conditioned and exquisitely designed Mutholath Auditorium serves a dual purpose. Besides hosting a variety of events, it generates essential income to sustain and further our programs for the differently-abled individuals we support.

Impact Centre: Embracing Growth

    At the Impact Centre, we provide a nurturing and residential environment for specialized training camps conducted in collaboration with the Good Samaritan Centre. Our facility also offers comfortable and air-conditioned accommodation, complete with food and transportation arrangements for Keralites visiting from abroad for short stays. The income generated from this endeavor directly contributes to the CBR programs at Mutholath Nagar.

    This incredible endeavor would not have been possible without the immense contributions of Fr. Abraham Mutholath, a dedicated priest from the Archdiocese of Kottayam. Currently serving in the Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago and also serving as a hospital chaplain in the U.S., Fr. Abraham’s unwavering commitment to the cause has been instrumental in the establishment and success of Mutholath Nagar.

MUTHOLATH NAGAR – A VISION REALIZED

Mutholath Nagar stands as a testament to the visionary efforts of Rev. Fr. Abraham Mutholath, former executive director of Kottayam Social Service Society (KSSS). Through his dedication and hard work, he laid the foundation for a series of exceptional social service institutions on this campus.

Agape Bhavan: A Gift of Thanksgiving In 2005, Fr. Abraham Mutholath established Agape Bhavan, a haven for the physically and mentally challenged. This institute, situated on the Cherpunkal-Pala road, was Fr. Mutholath’s heartfelt offering of gratitude to God on his Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee. Agape Bhavan serves as a regional center, providing training, vocational support, and rehabilitation for the differently-abled.

Good Samaritan Resource Centre: Empowering Lives Fr. Abraham Mutholath and Kottayam Social Service Society (KSSS) came together to create the Good Samaritan Resource Centre. This facility focuses on empowering persons with disabilities to lead lives of dignity within society. Additionally, it serves as a vocational training center for youth, paving the way for gainful employment opportunities.

Mutholath Auditorium: A Venue for All Occasions The state-of-the-art Mutholath Auditorium, inaugurated in 2017 by Major Archbishop Mar George Cardinal Alencherry, is a spacious and beautifully designed venue. It accommodates banquets, public meetings, conferences, and similar gatherings, with a seating capacity of 650. Wheelchair accessibility ensures inclusivity for all.

Impact Centre: Enabling Positive Transformations In celebration of his Ruby Jubilee, Fr. Abraham Mutholath generously contributed to the creation of the Impact Centre. This facility was built in response to the growing demand for accommodation during camps and events. The Impact Centre provides well-furnished, air-conditioned rooms, catering to various needs, including those of Keralites visiting from abroad for short stays.

    Situated on the highway side of Ettumanoor Pala road, Mutholath Nagar is home to a group of exceptional institutions. These esteemed establishments are the result of the generous contributions of Fr. Abraham Mutholath and operate under the auspices of Kottayam Social Service Society (KSSS) of the Archeparchy of Kottayam.
    Mutholath Nagar is a not-for-profit entity, dedicated to uplifting and transforming lives. The income generated from the Impact Centre and Mutholath Auditorium is entirely utilized for the benefit of the visually and hearing impaired, who receive specialized training at the Good Samaritan Centre, as well as the differently-abled individuals served at Agape Centre.
    In this nurturing environment, we strive to empower individuals with disabilities through comprehensive programs and unwavering support. Mutholath Nagar stands as a beacon of hope, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Fr. Abraham Mutholath, the visionary.

    Fr. Abraham Mutholath is the visionary founder of Mutholath Nagar, a campus that provides community-based rehabilitation for individuals with physical and mental disabilities. He is a priest from the Archeparchy of Kottayam, currently serving in the Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago and as a hospital chaplain in the U.S.
    Fr. Mutholath’s passion for social service and compassion for the differently-abled led him to establish Agape Bhavan in 2005, a regional center that offers training, vocational support, and rehabilitation for the physically and mentally challenged. This was his gift of thanksgiving to God on his Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee.
    In 2010, he initiated the Good Samaritan Resource Centre, a facility that empowers persons with disabilities to lead dignified lives within society. It also serves as a vocational training center for youth, creating employment opportunities for them.
    In 2017, he started the Mutholath Auditorium, a state-of-the-art venue that hosts various events and generates income to sustain and further the programs for the differently-abled individuals.
    In 2019, he launched the Impact Centre, a residential facility that provides specialized training camps for the visually and hearing impaired. It also offers comfortable accommodation, food, and transportation arrangements for Keralites visiting from abroad for short stays.
    Fr. Mutholath’s vision is to create a haven for community-based rehabilitation, where individuals with disabilities can find hope, support, and empowerment. He has been instrumental in transforming the lives of many through his visionary efforts and generous contributions. He is truly an inspiration for all.
